What The Students Say

Part-Time Garden Design Courses

I would recommend the KLC Diploma in Garden Design to anybody looking for a thorough foundation in designing gardens. The course encourages creativity and builds personal confidence, providing the necessary knowledge and skills to begin a career in the garden design industry. The course is stretching in terms of the amound of content covered and the necessary time commitment so be prepared to work hard, but it will be worth it in the end!

Matthew Childs, Diploma in Garden Design

If you want to be totally immersed in the world of garden design, meet many successful designers and get a leg up into one of the most broad and interesting fields of work, KLC School of Design is a great place to start.

Rup Rahman, Diploma in Garden Design

Well worth it to anyone with even the slightest interest in gardens or design. Be prepared to work hard!

Ruaraiah Neville-Clarke, Diploma in Garden Design

Starting the diploma in January rather than september meant we were studying this course along a gardening year rather than the academic year which has huge benefits. By the end of the first term we are all desperate to get out and study real gardens rather than those in a book and had this been midwinter rather than the spring the thought of having to wait 4 months would have been enormously disheartening! The timing of the KLC diploma helps make it a much more complete and in depth year to immerse yourself in garden design!

Stephen Ryan, Diploma in Garden Design

The high reputation of the school amongst the practicing designers that I surveyed was the overriding factor that convinced me to choose KLC

Stephen Ryan, Diploma in Garden Design

I was looking for a comprehensive 1 year course and wanted my studies to follow the gardening year, not the academic year and KLC was unique in offering this

Stephen Ryan, Diploma in Garden Design

I honestly get the feeling that this course is equipping us for the real world

Stephen Ryan, Diploma in Garden Design

KLC allowed me to build on my Botany degree and artistic background to create a solid foundation for launching a career as a garden designer. I did the part time Diploma course at Hampton Court; in an intense year we covered all of the essentials needed to become a practicing designer. I left the course with some great contacts and the confidence to set up my own business.

Rosie Nottage Garden Design, Diploma in Garden Design

As you find yourself driving to site, either to see a new garden or to re-visit an old one; whether eighty degrees and sunny or minus five and freezing cold there is always an accompanying sense of anticipation, freedom and excitement – words that certainly can't be used to describe too many careers.
