It is therefore essential that you have a good working knowledge of basic computer programmes in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and how to use web browsers to get the most out of the Internet. This course is ideal if you have not gained experience in these programmes or you feel you are out of practice with their use. The course will also introduce you to tasks such as importing and manipulating images so that you have the basic necessary skills to tackle your coursework projects.

  • Finding your way around the KLC information system – WiFi, printing and scanning

Day two

  • Using essential software such as Microsoft Office and imaging
  • Specific tasks including internet searching, image formats (jpg, png, tif) and working with PDFs
