KLC Students at Chelsea Flower Show

KLC News • 1 June, 2011

This year a number of KLC student from the Part-Time Garden Design Diploma Course helped prepare for the show gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Relishing the opportunity to get their hands dirty and work with leading garden designers, the students helped in the set-up of some of the high profile show gardens. Much to their delight, the students worked on Cleve West’s show garden, which won “best in show". As well as Cleve’s garden they also help set up Marcus Barnett and Ann-Marie Powell’s show gardens.

Ruth Lewis helping on Marcus Barnett's creation: The Times/Kew garden, a silver medal winner.

Abby Hazell - Diploma 4 on Ann-Marie Powell's garden for the British Heart Foundation. Also a silver medal winner.

Abby Hazell, Ann-Marie Powell (Designer) James Powell and Jonny Worrall (Diploma 4 students on work experience).

Each year students assist at the Chelsea Flower Show and the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. This provides them with an excellent opportunity to work with garden designers and take part in an industry event.
