Cool Calendar

Every year as we begin the countdown to Christmas the Flexible Learning Department has a new installation in the form of an Advent Calendar. This wildly imaginative and interactive calendar is the brainchild of Peter Bonney, who develops a different design each year. This year colourfully wrapped boxes are carefully counter-balanced by baubles and each day a member of KLC staff is given the pleasure of pulling a bauble to reveal what is inside one of the 24 boxes. The calendar is made mostly from recycled materials. Inside each box is a combination of Christmas lights, decorations, messages and treats. So far we have seen reindeer and sheep made from kitchen rolls and golden Christmas trees.

Peter has been part of the Flexible Learning Department for over 15 years and builds an advent installation each November. Thanks Peter for adding excitement to our Festive Season!
