KLC announces new BA (Hons) in Interior Design course validated by University of Brighton

KLC News • 14 June, 2012

As of September 2012 KLC School of Design will introduce a one year Level 6 BA (Hons) Interior Design course as a progression route for students who have successfully completed the Level 5 KLC Diploma in Interior Design (subject to specific admissions criteria).  This, therefore, opens up the potential for career changers to achieve a degree in two years of study.

With KLC’s strong industry links and location at the Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, one of the unique characteristics of this BA (Hons) course is that it offers students a genuinely collaborative engagement with professional practitioners enabling the sharing of wisdom, experience, up-to-date skills, knowledge and methods of practice alongside respect for scholarship.

The challenging and carefully focussed curriculum has been developed to provide further opportunities for study, research and critical analysis in order to broaden the students’ technical knowledge and skills and enhance their intellectual development to meet the increasing demands of the industry.  The 120 credits at Level 6 will therefore widen career opportunities for graduates entering into the profession both nationally and internationally, particularly into commercial design practices.
