This day provides the perfect concise introduction to the world of garden design, with a mixture of informative presentations and practical workshops. It has been designed to give you an insight into what is involved on KLC garden design courses and experience first-hand our creative and professional approach to teaching.

Tutor Biography:

Matthew Childs trained at KLC College of Design at Hampton Court Palace, attaining a diploma in Garden Design with Honours, and was awarded ‘Top Student of the Year’.  He also attained the RHS level 2 certificate in horticulture. In 2012, Matthew received a gold medal and ‘Best Conceptual Garden’ at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower show for his garden ‘Light at the end of the tunnel’.  In 2013 he returned to the Hampton Court Palace Flower show with a show garden for Ecover which was awarded a gold medal and ‘Best in Show’. 

Matthew's approach to Garden design is tailored to you, the client.  Passion and creativity for design are combined with a professional approach, which relies on a thorough understanding of the brief and a respect for budgets and timings.
