The fifth annual Society of Garden Designers Awards took place last Friday and we’re very pleased to announce that one of our accomplished Garden Design tutors, Dan Lobb MSGD was one of the stars of the show. Dan scooped up not one but three awards.
These included the prestigious Judges’ Award for his Breaker’s yard community project, a complete redesign of a former car breakers yard adjacent to The National Trust’s Sutton House, a Grade II* listed Tudor manor house situated in Hackney, Greater London.
Dan was also awarded the Designing a Community Space Award and the Paper Landscapes Award.
The accolades were presented in front of an audience of four hundred at a ceremony at The Landmark Hotel in London. Twenty one awards were announced including recognition for community garden projects, international schemes, excellence in public and commercial outdoor space and the SGD lifetime achievement award. We’d like to congratulate Dan on this amazing achievement.
