Top Tips for Studying Your Online Course at KLC
Our inspirational online course is accessible to anyone wishing to gain a professional qualification in interior design and is especially appealing to people with existing commitments such as work and family.
Whilst the dynamic course materials are designed to keep you inspired, there are other ways in which you can make your online study experience more rewarding. Here are a few of our top tips to help keep you motivated and enhance your enjoyment of the course:
Have a study plan
Block out study time in your diary each week, make a “to do” list and try to stick to it. Be realistic about how much time you can set aside. Also use the Online Calculator on your curriculum to help keep you on track.
Ask for help when you need it
Our Interior Design tutors are on hand to answer your course queries, so if you require assistance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our dedicated Helpline which is available via phone 020 7386 8786 and email. firstname.lastname@example.org
Studying online doesn’t mean you have to study in isolation. Keeping in touch with your fellow learners through social media or the Student Coffee Shop Forum is a great way to share ideas and stay motivated. Students also find that having a study buddy or becoming part of study group is invaluable to help keep their studies on track.
Make it exciting
Make your learning experience fun and creative by including inspirational days out as part of your studies. So for example, if you are in the UK, visit National Trust and English Heritage properties, museums such as the Design Museum and the Victoria and Albert museum, attend shows such as Focus or Grand Designs. Why not arrange to do this with a group of fellow students?!
Generally people choose to study interior design because it is a subject that they are passionate about! One of the best ways to keep motivated is to get inspired by attending industry events, talks and shows to hear from the professionals. Become a student member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) to find out about upcoming events and subscribe to their newsletter to hear about the latest developments in the industry.
